So, you’ve stumbled upon Blog For Photos. You might be wondering what it is. Let me tell you: Blog For Photos is a HDR photography blog. It was launched in January 2012. The current mission is to publish one HDR photo from the Finnish capital Helsinki every day for one year. Photos from other cities are also published on infrequent basis. One article is published every week.

Why does it exist? I think every site should have a meaning. A reason to be. Well, Blog For Photos’ reason is two-fold. On one hand, it gives rhythm and joy to my life. When you post everyday and commit yourself seriously it gives you an interesting hobby to work with. And not only to work with, but also grounds for improvement.

On the other hand it exists to provoke thoughts in you, Dear reader. The thoughts can be happy. They can be inspiring. You might also dislike my work. Thus your thoughts can even be contemptuous, withering. It doesn’t matter what kind of thoughts you have. What is important is that your mind finds the blog interesting enough to give it a thought. Then I know I have truly succeeded.

Not to say I wouldn’t be happy if you didn’t find the photos and articles interesting! Boy, I’m excited if you feel inspired about them. Perhaps you want to create your own photo blog now? Great, go for it! If you think it’s your passion it’s the best thing you can do.

All in all, a blog should also have a plan. So what about the future? Well, I keep on posting a photo every day. I strive to make them better day by day, week by week. I’ll also write more helpful photography-related articles to you, Dear reader. After all, you are the person who decides whether this blog will succeed or not!
