HDR in Helsinki: Almost Old Town

Helsinki doesn’t have a traditional old town like Tallinn and Stockholm. But we have something: the historical centre with semi-narrow streets and pretty old buildings. For example this little street is called Sofiankatu. It is a pedestrian zone in the heart of the historical centre. The blue building on the right hand side is the city hall of Helsinki. On the left hand side there are high profile restaurants. There’s also a little movie theatre called Kino Engel. The famous Cathedral of Helsinki can be seen in the background.

This capture totally transports me back to Helsinki where I was living for 3 months in 2008 – look at the beautiful sky! Nicely done. I have a friend who is also into HDR photography, if you’re interested, take a look at his Toronto Photo Set. The city has beautiful architecture itself, but Paul takes it to a whole new level!

Glad to hear you lived here! I checked out site and looks like he’s a good HDR artist. Toronto also looks like HDR photographer’s paradise :D
