HDR in Helsinki: Lillhoplax
Lillhoplax is Pikku Huopalahti in Swedish. Why did I choose the Swedish name? Because Finland is bilingual and the Swedish-speaking populate Pikku Huopalahti area too. 6% of Helsinki dwellers have Swedish as their mother language. Anyway, Lillhoplax had little floods on that Spring day. There are a lot of fields there and they are easily filled up with water when snow melts. Now almost all the snow has melted and so the small floods are apparent. It is nothing to be afraid of though: soon this area has green healthy grass and the only water is rain that is absorbed by the soil.
