HDR in Helsinki: Malmin Nova

Today’s HDR photography is from Malmi. It is one of the biggest districts of Helsinki. In the center of Malmi lies this shopping mall, called Malmin Nova. The biggest shop there is a hypermarket called Citymarket with surface area of 10 000 m². The shopping mall spans over the railway connecting Helsinki to northern suburbs and further big cities in Finland. Malmi railway station can be accessed from the mall. Thus if you are coming from downtown you can easily do all of your daily shopping in Malmin Nova. It has bigger grocery stores than the downtown.

The benches in the photo are often used by drunkards in the summer. There’s also a pub on the right hand side: in fact you can see its’ terrace if you look closely. I once got disappointed there. The pub front signs says PIZZA. Being hungry I went inside and ordered a salami pizza. The bartender told me they don’t sell pizza anymore. Went elsewhere then. False promises :(
