HDR in Helsinki: Pitkäsilta

by Akseli Niemelä on Apr 4, 2012

Pitkäsilta (The Long Bridge) is a bridge in downtown that connects the Kruununhaka and Hakaniemi districts. Wikipedia tells (in Finnish) that the first bridge was built in 1651. That’s long time ago! Those holes on the side are bullet holes from the Finnish Civil War. That’s historic.

My intentions that morning were actually take photos from Hakaniemi metro station. On my way there I crossed this bridge and couldn’t help stopping for some shooting at Pitkäsilta. There were almost none traffic or pedestrians so it was a piece of cake :)
